Yep, it might be the talk of the town that the two CW smash-hit shows are merging for a new series, but it's been a long time coming for Sabrina Spellman actress, Kiernan.
The 21-year-old, who has played the titular Sabrina Spellman in the series revival, said all the way back in 2020 that she was longing for the characters from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to drop in at Riverdale - with the two shows sharing the same universe.
"Honestly, I just think Riverdale could use a witch," she said in a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, referencing the show, which stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse.
"They're going through a ton of stuff and they need some celestial whatever kind of vibes! They need a bit of extra power, they need someone who knows reincarnation, necromancy.
"They need that in their world and, I don't know, I just think it would be a fun world if the two collided at some point."
Well, it looks like show bosses listened!
Sabrina is set to arrive in Riverdale during the fourth episode of season six, in an ep entitled "The Witching Hour(s)."
As far as the plot goes, it starts with Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) performing a dangerous spell which could have huge implications for the Blossom family.
That's why Sabrina comes in, making a conveniently timed visit from Greendale to help.
Kiernan Shipka celebrated the news with a snap from the set of Riverdale, writing "from Greendale to Riverdale. See you in Season 6."
"We've been talking about having Sabrina visit Riverdale since season 1, so it's thrilling that this is finally happening, as part of our 'Rivervale' special event," he said.
"It's also perfect that she shows up to help Cheryl Blossom during her hour of greatest need.
"Everyone on set lost their minds — I think fans will, too. It's really fun and special."
We. Cannot. Wait.
