Return To Hogwarts: Harry Potter Fans Say Phelps Twins Look 'Unrecognisable'

Return To Hogwarts: Harry Potter Fans Say Phelps Twins Look 'Unrecognisable'

The reunion is dropping on New Year's Day.

As we countdown the days until the Harry Potter reunion Return To Hogwarts arrives on our screens, fans have been treated to a sneak peek preview of the special.

A photo of the cast has been shared by HBO, including the likes of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton, as well as a number of other Hogwarts alumni.

But fans have honed in on Oliver and James Phelps (who played Fred and George Weasley) with many claiming the twins look 'unrecognisable' in the new snap.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: "Took me a WHILE to recognise Fred and George."

Meanwhile another said: FRED AND GEORGE THAT YOU?

And a third added: "Took me a while to realise that those dudes on the left are Fred and George."

And a fourth said: "Took me 5 whole mins to recognise fred and george."

While a fifth wrote: "I DID NOT RECOGNIZE FRED AND GEORGE OMG."

Over on Reddit, one fan said they don't even look like twins. "Are those 2 on the left the Phelps twins?!" One asked, while another responded: Oh seriously??? Dang I could NOT figure that out! They super don't look like twins in this picture."

The cast are coming back together for the HBO Max special to discuss and reminisce over all things Harry Potter to celebrate the film franchise's 20th anniversary.

A teaser was released earlier this month hinting at the return of even more actors from the film franchise, including Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs and Gary Oldman.

After the poster image was revealed earlier this week, eagle eyed Harry Potter fans believe there could be trouble between trouble between Hermione and Ron.

Although Return to Hogwarts is not a reboot (think the Friends reunion show), many believe the actors may speculate what the future holds for their characters, and fans are very concerned that divorce could be on the cards.

As Emma and Rupert are stood back to back on the poster, some fans believe this is symbolic of a ‘frosty atmosphere’ between the two.

Say it isn't so!
