Netflix's New Baking Show, Bake Squad, Launches On Wednesday

We're hoping this will fill the Bake Off shaped hole in our lives.

Bakers and Bake Off fans, assemble. Netflix is launching a new show and we're hungry just watching the trailer.

Bake Squad is dropping on the streaming platform on Wednesday 11th August and will see four incredible bakers battle it out to make a mouthwatering - and jaw-dropping - creations for a series of special events.

The show is hosted by Christina Tosi - an American chef, author and founded of bakery, Milk Bar.

"I'm Christina Tosi, the founder of Milk Bar, and I built a squad of four brilliant bakers, to battle it out and see whose dessert will be chosen for someone's big day," Christina explains in the trailer.

In the first ep, we meet Christina's mega talented bakers, who will be competing against each other across the eight episodes in a bid to have their masterpiece chosen for each event.

The bakers are Ashley Holt, Christophe Rull, Maya-Camille Broussard and Gonzo Jimenez who will all rustle up incredible designs.

Ashley is a pastry guru and cake artist, while Maya is an expert on all-things pies and founder of bakery, Justice of the Pies. Meanwhile, Christophe is a 'pastry illusionist' and Gonzo is a chocolatier who specialises in mesmerising chocolate creations.

In the trailer, Ashley explains: "The whole thing with the Bake Squad, there's some friendly competition but we're still a team."

The special events include a royal winter wonderland wedding, a little girl's birthday and one inspirational lady who is celebrating being cancer-free.
