If you're looking for a new show to get stuck into, you might want to try My Unorthodox Life on Netflix.
The new reality series dropped on the streaming platform at the end of July, and focuses on Julia Haart, a former member of an Orthodox Jewish community who left and became the founder of a fashion brand and the CEO of modelling network, Elite World Group.

Julia's journey - from leaving the community to becoming the fashion mogul and successful businesswoman she is today - is documented in the Netflix series, as well as the joys and challenges of family life, too.

In the series we meet Julia's husband Silvio, her sons Shlomo and Aron and her daughters Batsheva and Miriam.
"It's hard to imagine that just a few years ago I was living in an extreme ultra Orthodox Jewish community and then I just packed up and left... there's one thing you can say is we have a very interesting life," Julia says.
The series follows Julia as she tries to revolutionise the industry.

But it hadn't always been that way. In the community she left, Julia explained she had been making her own clothes - even though it was considered a no-no.
“I’d been making my own clothes, even though in my community fashion is a giant no-no,” she told The New York Times.
“The only point of clothing is to hide you. And if you love clothing and color, that means you’re too focused on the physical, you’re not thinking about your soul. But I loved colour. And I had always worn high heels.”
Julia says it was her daughter Miriam who helped her pluck up the courage to leave.

“She just wouldn’t conform. They were doing to her what they had done to me—trying to push her down and mold her into that flat person that they could disappear. I couldn’t let that happen," she said.
And viewers are hooked to the show, with several admitting to bingeing it in one sitting.
