Married At First Sight UK Fans Notice 'Unfair' Twist In New Season

Married At First Sight UK Fans Notice 'Unfair' Twist In New Season

'They've been had!'

Married At First Sight UK's second batch of honeymoons are in full swing, as Franky & Marilyse, Josh and Amy, Tayah and Adam, and Jordan and Alexis are currently getting to know each other on romantic getaways.

But fans have noticed something rather odd about the honeymoon segment of the show.

While some couples have been jetted off to Mexico, the Maldives and the Caribbean, for another couple, it was a rather different story.

Yep, Franky and Marilyse were instead sent on a UK honeymoon... to the Lake District.

Now, don't get us wrong there's nothing wrong with the Lake District. It's in the midst of the beautiful countryside, surrounded by nature, and the place they were staying looked absolutely gorgeous.

But it didn't stop fans questioning the difference between Franky and Marilyse's location and the places the others got sent.

"Omg! Sorry but how pissed would you be if everyone was going to Maldives and Caribbean and you got the Lake District #MarriedAtFirstSightuk," one viewer wrote.

While another penned: "No sorry how are some people on #MarriedAtFirstSightuk getting honeymoons to the Maldives and others are getting the Lake District…

"I would honestly leave the show if I got the lakes".

"The Lake District? Producers must really hate this guy lol #mafsuk #MarriedAtFirstSightuk," joked another.

As a fourth wrote: "Mexico, Dominican Republic, Mexico anddddd The Lake District #MAFSUK #MarriedAtFirstSightuk".

"Bloody LAKE DISTRICT? They've been had! #MarriedAtFirstSightuk," noted somebody else.

There are many possible reasons for the UK staycation, such as the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Some fans suggested that travel restrictions may have changed throughout filming, or some couples may have felt more comfortable travelling than others.

Meanwhile, another pondered that Marilyse's commitments to her children may have inhibited her from going away.

Either way, the couple didn't seem phased by the location choice, and actually seemed to get on like a house on fire.

Tyla has contacted Channel 4 for comment.
