Love Island: People Are Convinced The New Bombshell Is 'Chuggs 2.0'

'The new boy just looks like a brunette version of Chuggs'

Love Island fans are convinced that new boy Brett Staniland is 'the new Chuggs'.

Brett, 27, entered the villa at the end of Tuesday evening's episode, and was found lounging by the pool when the Islanders returned to the villa after their challenge.

You can watch a clip below:

Brett was first spotted by Chloe and Priya, who were sat on the terrace having a catch up about the day's events.

While the episode finished before viewers were able to see Brett meet the other Islanders, fans have been taking to Twitter with many claiming the new boy is 'Chuggs 2.0'.

One person wrote: "The new boy literally looks like Chuggs."

While another added: "Why does the new boy look like Chuggs lol."

And a third said: "The new boy just looks like a brunette version of Chuggs."

We wonder who the PhD student has his sights set on?

The original Chuggs - real name Oliver Wallis - left the villa a few weeks ago after contestant Rachel Finni had to choose between coupling up with Chuggs or Brad McClelland.

Rachel chose Brad, but later regretted her decision after he ended up coupling up with Lucinda Strafford.

"I would have picked Chuggs over Brad," she said.

"Knowing what I know now. You have to graft to stay in there. I was stupid enough to fall for Brad's graft, because it wasn't genuine.

"The day after we coupled, he told me to get to know other people. He wasn't interested. The second I picked him, he went off to his friends and said 'I was gutted I wasn't going to see you.'

"Chuggs would have actually made the effort to get to know me. I went for Brad because he was more physically attractive."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
