Love Island fans have praised Liberty Poole for putting herself first after she realised her relationship with Jake Cornish was coming to an end.
During Thursday night's episode, fans watched in agony as Jake and Liberty argued over a selfie, but it was clear there were much deeper issues.
The scene was a culmination of rocky moments between the pair ever since the Movie Night challenge where Liberty watched a clip from the first few days in the villa where Jake said he didn't want to rip her clothes off.
In subsequent episodes, the student and waitress from Birmingham had crisis talks with the girls and Faye Winter and Chloe Burrows made it known that they didn't believe Jake was being completely genuine.

The selfie moment was the boiling point, and things took an awkward turn as the couple sat on the beanbags in the garden and took snaps.
When Liberty said she liked a pictures of them together, where Jake said his eyes are shut, he said: “It’s all about you, isn’t it? It’s all about you innit? It’s fine, everything’s about you, you, you.”
Liberty responded: “No. I thought you looked nice. Do you just not feel confident?”

Jake laughed: “What you talking about you don’t feel confident? Huh?”
Liberty then told her boyfriend: “I’m just saying you look nice in those photos. You look fit in those pictures.”
During a heart-to-heart with Faye afterwards, Liberty broke down in tears over Jake.

She told Faye: “I’ve got to be true to myself. I just don’t think we’re right for each other.”
Fans took to Twitter to praise Liberty for putting herself first, with many viewers calling her a great role model.
One woman wrote: "To be honest, Liberty is being an AMAZING role model here. If she can teach young girls what not to tolerate in a relationship, even when it’s being presenting in such a subtle way, then she is an absolute hero for that."
A second fan shared: "Can I vote Liberty to win on her own?she’s a role model, an inspiring independent woman who knows her worth."
