We were screaming at the telly during last night's Love Island as Liam Reardon grew closer to new girl Lillie Haynes in Casa Amor.

But viewers were particularly frustrated with fellow islander Jake Cornish, who appeared to be encouraging 21-year-old Liam to stray, despite knowing he's loved up with Millie-Moo back in the villa.

While some assumed he had his friend's best interests at heart, others were adamant that Jake's words of encouragement were actually tactical - in a bid to wipe out him and Liberty Poole's biggest competition, Millie and Liam (aka Milliam).

Either way, fans were not happy, with many calling Jake 'sneaky'.

One wrote: "Jake living vicariously through the other boys encouraging Liam so he’s got better grasp of the 50k … sneaky."

While another said: "Jake is a sneaky person why is he encouraging this guys."

Meanwhile another person tweeted: "If Jake was my boyfriend and was encouraging other guys, for example Liam, to go with other girls then I’d be questioning that to be honest."

They later added: "Someone just suggested that maybe Jake is trying to sabotage his biggest competition, Millie & Liam and that could be a very good theory?!"

Last night's ep saw both The Villa and Casa Amor take place in the Raunchy Race challenge, in which they are sent a number of challenges via text.

Whichever villa completed the challenge in the quickest time won a point, and the team with the most points won a party that evening.

Although both villas scored the same amount of points, some of the girls were upset after knowing their boys would have been locking lips during the challenge.

Love Island continues weekdays at 9pm on ITV2.
