Love Island Fans Are Just Finding Out Why Contestants Wear Sunglasses In Bed

It all makes sense now.

One of the biggest mysterious surrounding Love Island is the reason behind the Islanders wearing sunglasses in bed when they wake up.

Throughout the show's seven seasons, viewers have seen contestants grab their shades first thing in the morning - is it because they're super cool?

Are they trying to shield their tired eyes from being seen by millions across the country?

Not exactly.

Luckily for us, ex-Islander Aaron Francis, 24, has spilled the tea on this ongoing unsolved mystery and there's actually a perfectly reasonable explanation behind it.

Watch Aaron's TikTok video below:

During a Q&A on video sharing app TikTok, Aaron said: "“Yo, I don’t think you guys understand how bright those lights are. They are blindingly bright. That’s why everyone’s wearing sunglasses in the morning.”

Aaron then explains he also questioned by other contestants wore sunglasses as they woke up but after taking part in the show, he completely understands.

"I used to watch previous series and be like 'why are you wearing sunglasses in bed' and now I know why! It's bright and it wakes you up immediately, I promise."

Love Island fans took to the comments after watching Aaron's video and many people were shocked to find out just how bright the lights in the bedroom are.

"They're trying to blind them!" One commenter joked.

While a second TikTok user said: "Oh I thought they just put them on in the morning to cover their face."

And a third fan said: "I need to get some of those lights."

We feel so sorry for them!
