For those of us missing our favourite TV assassin, we have good news – Killing Eve is coming back, and we don’t have too long to wait until Villanelle is back in action.

We’ve been giving a sizzling hot teaser for what we can expect in the fourth and final series of the cat and mouse-based show – and it looks like things are going to get fiery.

Watch the teaser below.

Seeing various iconic outfit donned by Villanelle up in flames, the teaser ends with the air date confirmed on BBC and BBC America.

Hold on to your hats, everyone, as Killing Eve will return on 27th February 2022.

We’ve also been given a few stills of what to expect in season four – and it seems things are going to get weirder than ever.

Killer Villanelle, played to perfection by Jodie Comer, can be spotted sporting a red cassock typically associated with the Catholic church, with the assassin having turned to religion to try and redeem her past crimes.

We also see Villanelle in a modest white dress with pink angel wings in the background, brandishing a gold crucifix – only further establishing her newfound faith.

Meanwhile Eve (Sandra Oh) is out hunting her rival, donning a blonde wig and big sunnies as she tries to track down her nemesis.

Another shot sees Eve look bedraggled, staring into a fish tank, as well as Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) returning, sat by a swimming pool.

Last month, The Sun reported that Comer and Oh were spotted filming scenes from the final series on the River Thames.

An insider told the publication: “In the spirit of the show, it's not clear who, if anyone, has been bumped off. And it looks like the story could have been left open for another future season.

“But what is obvious is the fact the creators have pulled out all the stops to make this a spectacular finale. The action certainly seemed to hook the attention of passers-by, including Londoners and tourists who couldn't quite believe what they were seeing.

“And there was a moment of real high tension as the sound of gunshots echoed around the banks of the River Thames.”

Killing Eve returns to BBC next year.
