When Is Jurassic World: Dominion Being Released?

It's said to begin a new chapter in the Jurassic World franchise.

The excitement for the new Jurassic World: Dominion movie is escalating as teaser clips and leaked images circulate online. Here’s everything you need to know about the third Jurassic World film.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Daniella Pineda star in the third Jurassic World outing, which picks up four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in which we saw genetically engineered dinosaurs being auctioned off to companies around the world.

Filming started in February 2020 and it will be the third and instalment of the Jurassic World trilogy.

Is Jurassic World: Dominion the last movie in the franchise?

Jurassic World 3 will be the third movie in the Jurassic World trilogy, and as a trilogy is three of something, fans are right to assume it’ll be the last Jurassic World film.

However, producer Frank Marshall has reassured fans that while this is the third instalment in the trilogy, Jurassic World: Dominion will not be the final film. Instead, he said it will mark the “start of a new era” for the franchise in which humans have to adapt to dinosaurs living among them on the mainland.

Jurassic World: Dominion trailer

The official trailer hasn’t been released by Universal Pictures yet, but in November 2021, they released the prologue. You can watch it below.

Who’s in Jurassic World: Dominion?

Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard will return as Claire Dearing and Daniella Pineda as Zia Rodriguez.

Also returning for this third outing is Justice Smith as Franklin Webb and Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm from Jurassic World 2, while Sam Neill, who was in the original Jurassic Park films, will be reprising his role as Alan Grant in the latest movie.

The plot of Jurassic World: Dominion is being kept tightly under wraps, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything. But considering it’s supposed to set up the next era of Jurassic World, where dinosaurs and human have to learn to coexist, we imagine the characters will encounter some teething problems hopefully not literally) as that process begins in Dominion.

Once again, that’s 10th June 2022 you need to pencil in your calendar to go and see Jurassic World: Dominion. We’re as excited as you!
