Richard Madeley could still earn his full pay packet for his brief stint on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! according to reports.
The broadcaster, 65, was taken to hospital after falling ill in camp after just four days, and announced on Thursday that he would not be rejoining the show.
Due to ITV’s strict covid bubble rules, Richard was forced to exit the castle permanently to avoid potentially infecting his campmates.

The MailOnline reports that, because Richard’s exit was down to medical reasons and not from his own choice, he will still receive his full fee for taking part – alleged to be around £200,000.
ITV declined to comment when contacted by Tyla.
Tyla has contacted representatives for Richard for comment.

The news of Richard’s exit was announced on Twitter, where he reassured viewers that he was fine.
“I started to feel briefly unwell in the small hours of the morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution,” he wrote.
"By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs that remain in the camp.
“Obviously I’m gutted to be leaving so soon but the safety of all the campmates is the number one priority. I’m incredibly excited to watch their journey continue…even more so at the prospect of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle.

A spokesperson for I'm a Celebrity...said: "Our strict Covid protocols means Richard has sadly had to leave the show as he is no longer in the bubble the celebrities form when entering the castle. He has been a truly brilliant camp mate and we thank him for being part of this series."
