The duo were discussing how the campmates had chosen a new leader, who would continue the role from footballer David Ginola.
Ant said: "And that means David's reign is over, but they weren't celebrating. They didn't have a party, they categorically deny any suggestion that they had a party and this 'fictional' party definitely didn't involve cheese and wine or a secret Santa..."
Dec then added: "Evening prime minister!"
And viewers found the whole thing hilarious, with one person writing on Twitter: "Ohhh gawd that’s too funny... Go on Ant & Dec."
While another added: "Howling at @antanddec tearing into the conservatives secret Christmas party on last nights."
And a third said: "Moments like these are why Ant and Dec clean up every year at the awards. The best and it isn't even close."
A fourth added: "I think this is my favourite bit of #ImACeleb ever…"
And a fifth wrote: "Yess @antanddec just when I thought I couldn’t be prouder to be a fan of you two more."
The joke was in reference to the circulating claims that a Christmas party took place last year, on 18th December, at Downing Street.
At the time, gatherings had been banned under government restrictions, and London was in Tier 3. Yesterday evening, a video of Boris Johnson's then press secretary, Allegra Stratton, was released online, showing senior Downing Street staff joking about the 'party'.
The video was taken on 22nd December and showed the colleagues rehearsing for a news conference.
"I've just seen reports on Twitter that there was a Downing Street Christmas party on Friday night," one asked.
Laughing, Allegra says: "I went home, hold on, hold on, err..."
"It wasn't a party it was cheese and wine," said another.
Allegra responded: "Is cheese and wine alright? It was a business meeting... This fictional party was a business meeting [laughs]... and it was not socially distanced."
I'm a Celeb continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
