I’m a Celebrity…is back, and there’s already major drama happening at castle camp.
Not only have we seen Emmerdale’s Danny Miller throwing up and Richard Madeley going full Alan Partridge about a Victoria sponge, we’ve also seen Naughty Boy already threatening to quit the series – and we’re only three days in.
One of this year’s early favourites is Snoochie Shy, the radio DJ that is following on in the footsteps of last year’s runner-up, Jordan North.
Having been picked for two trials in as many days, we’re keen to see how Snoochie, 29, fares against her campmates.
But naturally, the more we get to know the star, the more we find out about her – and unsurprisingly, Snoochie Shy is not her real name.
The MTV presenter revealed she adopted the moniker for radio after it was something her grandmother called her as a child.
“My nan used to call me Snoochie when I was younger and it was just a name that stuck with me, really, when I came to work,” she told The Mirror.
However, Snoochie joked she should have checked the meaning beforehand, as a quick look on Urban Dictionary revealed it was slang for “a flaccid, emaciated carrot.”
“ I probably should have checked it before because it actually means you've left your carrot in the refrigerator.
"But obviously when my nan was saying it to me it sounded cute, so... yeah, channelling that carrot energy as well.”
The Shy part of Snoochie’s name comes from her real, full name: Cheyenne David.
“And Shy, my real name is Cheyenne so it's short for Cheyenne. But I am a little bit shy as well!”
Fair enough, Snoochie!
Elsewhere in camp, Frankie Bridge made a startling confession about her underwear on last night’s show.
You can read more about that here.
I’m A Celebrity…continues nightly at 9pm on ITV.
