Great British Bake Off Fans Notice 'Irritating' Detail About Opening Credits

Did you spot this?

Great British Bake Off kicked off again this week - but fans say they were driven nuts over a rather irritating detail during the show's opening credits.

As viewers sat down to settle into the 2021 series of the baking show, many honed in on a huge - and very delicious looking - raspberry chocolate cake.

Although the cake looked mouth wateringly good, fans were frustrated over a tiny detail - a missing raspberry. You can watch a clip below:

The cake, which is covered in the fruit, had a small gap where the raspberry should have been. And fans can't get over it.

One admitted it's been driving her "absolutely crazy" while hundreds of others said they now "can't unsee it".

"While I’m so chuffed Bake Off is back, does this part of the opening credits drive anyone else absolutely crazy??!" The viewer wrote.

"Just put another bloody raspberry on there… It’s killing me! To be absolutely honest, I’d like to even out the whole bottom curve of raspberries, but I’d settle for that gap filled! #firstworldproblems."

And the post has sparked a flurry of comments, with one writing: "Yes! I told my partner about it a few years ago just so it could annoy him too!"

While another said: "It's actually pure genius!

"The missing raspberry has been mentioned for years, and like on this post, it gets people talking about the show!"

And a third added: "Might be like that on purpose to convey an amateur baking competition.

"Although based on the high standards they hold the contestants to, it should be filled."

A fourth said: "Got to be honest I’d never noticed until I started watching it with my 7-year-old daughter and every single time without fail she says 'they definitely should have put another raspberry on there.'

"She cannot let it go."

A firth added: "Aarrgg... not until you pointed it out. Now i can't not see it! Visual earworm."

Not gonna' lie, this is driving us a little bit crazy now...
