Good Morning Britain’s weather presenter Laura Tobin was left mortified after she appeared to ‘fart’ during a live show.

The 39-year-old meteorologist was discussing Tuesday’s weather forecast in her new pair of ruby red leather trousers.

As she described the ‘unsettled’ weather on the horizon for the day, a loud fart noise was played in the studio by show director Erron Gordon.

We all know that despite looking extremely chic and stylish, leather and pleather trousers can be extra noisy and it seems everyone in the GMB studio wanted to poke fun.

“I knew you were going to do that. I’m not even moving!” she said after the fart noise echoed through the studio.

She added: "So because I'm wearing a pair of sustainable pleather trousers..." before another fart noise interrupted her.

Susanna Reid quipped: "It's not because of what you've had for breakfast?"

Laura quickly responded: "I haven't even had breakfast yet!

"In these trousers I can't eat anything and there's a whole cupboard of sweets waiting for me and I can't eat any of them.

"Erron the director thought it was hilarious that when I sit down, the trousers ride up.

"I had to ask our floor manager to pull my trousers down... not like that."

Laura broke down in tears live on air during a show earlier this month reporting from Svalbard near Norway.

The 39-year-old gave an emotional plea for viewers at home to take the climate crisis seriously before displaying a drawing of a polar bear made by her daughter Charlotte, whom she hasn't seen in almost a week.

Talking to hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid back in the studio in London, Laura explained: “We’ve come here because Svalbard is warming more than anywhere else on earth and the impacts around the world are huge. We need ice because it helps to cool our planet.”

For what it's worth, we think the trousers look fabulous!

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
