The unflinching drama series is the creation of award-winning filmmaker Gareth Evans (The Raid) and his creative partner Matt Flannery.
Watch the teaser below:
The series is an epic saga that puts family at the heart of the action when the head of London’s most powerful crime family, Finn Wallace (Colm Meaney), is assassinated.
Gangs of London became a hit when it debuted in 2020, becoming the biggest Sky original drama launch on Sky Atlantic of the past five years.
Fan’s will remember Finn ruled London's criminal underworld for 20 years with an empire is worth billions. After his assassinations questions arise over who was responsible.
The space Finn leaves behind creates a power vacuum, with rivals everywhere lining up to overrule the Wallace family's territory.
It falls to Finn's reckless son Sean (Joe Cole) to step up and take his father's place, with the assistance of the Dumani family headed up by Ed Dumani (Lucian Msamati).
But Finn's rise to power puts a lot of noses out of joint, causing rising tensions in the world of international crime.
Series two is set one year after the tumultuous events from the first series, as the gangs battle to decide who will win the soul of London.
Since the collapse of the Wallace Dumani empire, order is lacking and the energy and chaos of a gold rush threatens the city with gangland anarchy.
As The Investors step in, a new gang leader is tasked with restoring the status quo.
