First Dates Viewers Heartbroken By Contestant's Revenge Porn Ordeal

A man on First Dates has spoken about being a victim of revenge porn after his former partner sent nude pictures to his colleagues.

Financier Craig, 27, from Birmingham sat down for a date with fragrance brand manager Luke, 28 from London at the First Dates restaurant. Their conversation took a serious turn when Craig started talking frankly about his ex.

Speaking at the dinner table and in an interview with the producers, Craig said: “There was a lot of jealousy and that jealousy the just got bigger and bigger and bigger to the point where I was like on a curfew.

“If I went out to lunch, I had to like take a photo of the people who I was going to Starbucks with, so he knew who I was with.”

Craig added: “He dictated every part of my life. It was like what I could wear, who I could see. The worst incident for when I had started a brand new job and he sent naked pictures of me to everyone who I worked with, including my bosses. Basically as revenge for me supposedly cheating on him this one day and I just thought ‘you crossed a line here’ and we haven’t spoken since.”

After the date, Luke and Craig met up again but they decided to remain friends. However, Craig credits his date with Luke for reminding him that there are still "nice, genuine" people out there.

First Dates airs on Mondays at 9pm on Channel 4.
