Based on the novel by bestselling author Kristin Hannah, Firefly Lane is a coming-of-age drama series which sees the ultimate test being put on a 30-year friendship between two women. The inseparable best friends have come through thick and thin over the years, but one “unthinkable betrayal” tears them apart and viewers wait anxiously to see if they’ll be able to reconcile.
The hit drama series stars Katherine Heigl as Tully and Sarah Chalke as Kate, the two besties who met in their teens and couldn’t have been any more different when they struck up an unlikely friendship.
When is Firefly Lane season 2 out on Netflix?
Firefly Lane is due out in 2022, but an exact release date hasn’t been announced yet. Season two looks set to have a faster turnaround than season one, which was release two years after it was first announced by Netflix - no doubt you know what had something to do with the delays.
Filming for the second season started in December 2021, so we’d imagine the completed series will be out at some point in the second half of 2022. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything more solid though.
Firefly Lane season 2 trailer

Who’s in Firefly Lane season 2?
Other than Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke, the cast for season two hasn’t yet been confirmed. After a shock season finale which was left on a cliffhanger, we’re not sure if Ben Lawson will reprise his role as Johnny Ryan - one can only hope.
It's likely that Kate's daughter Marah, played by Yael Yurman, will return, as will Beau Garrett, who plays Tully's mother, Cloud.
As for the rest of the cast, we’ll let you know as soon as we get an update.
In the meantime, Firefly Lane season one is available to stream now on Netflix.
