Fantastic Beasts fans, listen up! We now have our very first look at Mads Mikkelsen as Grindelwald in the brand new trailer for Fantastic Beasts 3.

The third film in the franchise, titled The Secrets of Dumbledore, is the first film to not feature Johnny Depp after he parted ways following his loss in his libel trial against The Sun newspaper.

Depp shot just one scene as Grindelwald before he dropped out and Warner Bros. hired Mikkelsen to take over the role for the third film.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star confirmed his departure in a lengthy Instagram post in November 2020.
"In light of recent events, I would like to make the following short statement," he wrote. "Firstly, I'd like to thank everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty. I have been humbled and moved by your many messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days."
He continued: "I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request."

Warner Bros. confirmed the new casting in November last year after production on the film was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Directed by David Yates, The Secrets of Dumbledore is set several years after the events of the second Fantastic Beasts film, The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The Secrets of Dumbledore stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, William Nadylam, Poppy Corby-Tuech and Jessica Williams.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be released on 8th April 2022 in the UK and 15th April 2022 in the US.
