Fans of the Sex And The City franchise have waited literally years for the sequel series And Just Like That to land, and they might be in for a shock after episode one dropped on Friday.
Fans of the long standing romance between Carrie Bradshaw and Mr Big might take the latest twist badly. If you don't want any spoilers, look away now...
In the latest series, fans will be shocked to see that Mr Big doesn't make it past episode one. Yes, that's right.
In the first series of the new series, Big dies in Carrie's arms. And yes, it's as traumatic as it sounds.
After a tough workout, viewers will watch as Big suffers a heart attack. Viewers will see the heart-wrenching moments when Carrie walks in to find him collapsed in the shower. The camera shows Carrie's blue Manolo shoes getting drenched; the same shoes she wore on their wedding day.
Long standing fans of the Sex And The City series will know that Carrie and Big have had their ups and downs, before finally settling down into marriage. The pair seemed happy in the opening of the new sequel series, so losing such a main character will hit fans hard.
The series will take a different turn from the light-hearted frivolous adventures around New York City and dealing with grief from episode one might be a shock for viewers.
And Just Like That is available from Thursday 9th December 2021 on Sky and Now.
