Love Island: Everyone Missed AJ's Real Reaction To Kiss With Danny

Things have been a tad chaotic on Love Island and the most recent episode saw two couplings enter the friendzone.

Lucinda and Danny chatted on the swings and decided that nothing romantically would be happening between the two - where Danny compared Lucinda to a black Lamborghini… charming.

Hugo also pulled AJ for a chat and explained that the spark wasn’t there, meaning that AJ could see if there was any chemistry with anyone else in the villa.

Cue Danny. After AJ and Danny shared a kiss in the ‘Snog, Marry, Pie’ challenge, Danny told AJ that he was romantically interested in her and then moved in for an out-of-challenge smooch.

While this seemed positive for the recently friend zoned pair, eagle-eyed viewers clocked AJ’s real reaction to that kiss.

As the camera cuts away to Hugo after the kiss, it goes back to a brief clip of AJ walking away from locking lips with Danny and shaking her head. A blink and you miss it moment that could reveal AJ’s true feelings towards Danny.

Not quite the positive response you’d hope for after kissing someone…

This could mean that AJ isn’t as invested in trying things out with Danny as she may let on.

Danny’s motivations for the first kiss with AJ in the challenge are also uncertain. When chatting to Lucinda, he told her that kissing AJ was to make Lucinda jealous.

However, Danny missed out this detail when pursuing AJ. Instead, he told her that it was because he was interested in her so wanted to express that. 

Nevertheless, AJ being visibly rattled after Danny made his move doesn’t give the best start to the two getting to know each other and possibly being a new couple.

However, the possible romance between the two may be short-lived.

Both AJ and Danny are now at risk of being dumped from the Island after being one of the least favourite three boys and girls in the villa. Their fate is now up to the other Islanders who will decide who gets to stay in the villa and find love.
