Emily In Paris Season 2: Fans Left Shocked Over Bloody Scenes

Emily In Paris Season 2: Fans Left Shocked Over Bloody Scenes

There was a rather gruesome scene in episode eight of the show.

If you've been binge watching the second season of Emily in Paris this week, you might have been left rather shocked over one gruesome scene in particular.

The show returned for its second season earlier in the week, and fans have been glued to the Netflix show ever since. But a scene in episode eight has left viewers feeling rather stunned.

It all begins when Camille's dad Gerard tries to open a bottle of champagne with a sword, as part of his champagne brand Champere's marketing campaign.

Naturally, it doesn't seem like the best idea and it all goes horribly wrong pretty quickly.

"Je suis, le Champere! And this is how I pop my top," says Gerard, before slicing off the top of his finger. Vom.

Camille ends up fainting at the sight, meanwhile Emily is splattered with blood - all the while filming the horror incident for social media.

And fans of the show were shocked by the scene, with one writing: "The scene where Camille’s dad is trying to open the champagne bottle with the sword was something else #EmilyInParis2."

While another said: "EMILY IN PARIS?! UM… THE FINGER???!!"

And a third added: "#EmilyInParis2 episode 8 is hilarious! The poor finger."

Meanwhile a fourth wrote: "Not the finger!!! #EmilyInParis2."

Earlier this week, we told you how Emily in Paris fans have finally figured out Emily's age.

In season two episode three, Emily is taking in the love from her social media followers on her birthday, when some of her notifications pop up on-screen for viewers to see.

One comment reads: "29 years jeune, Happy Birthday @EmilyInParis!"

The revelation came after Lily Collins - who plays Emily - told British Vogue last year that Emily was presumably "pretty fresh out of college", adding: "I want to say she's like, 22-ish."

But viewers were not happy, insisting it was unrealistic to see a 22-year-old be so successful in her career this early on.

Well that's that settled then!
