Disney Share Hocus Pocus 2 First Look

Disney+ has shared a first look at Hocus Pocus 2 - and we cannot wait for it to drop on the streaming platform.

The sneak peek was included in a round up of what's coming up on Disney+ next year, and shows Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy returning as the Sanderson sisters.

You can watch the snippet below:

The snippet doesn't give too much away, but it looks like the Sanderson sisters are back in full force, and celebrating Halloween at what looks like a festival or Halloween carnival.

The plot of the film has so far been kept pretty under wraps, but according to Disney: "Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world."

The new characters - Becca (played by Whitney Peak), Cassie (played by Lilia Buckingham) and Izzy (played by Belissa Escobedo) - will have to find a way to stop the child-hungry witches from taking over the world.

Bette Midler spoke to People about the sequel last year, explaining: "They presented us with an outline, and after we picked ourselves up off the floor, because it's been 27 years, we looked at it and I think all of us agreed that it was pretty great."

The Sanderson sisters reunited last year for a virtual Halloween party and fundraiser before the sequel to the 1993 flick was announced.

The original movie begins on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts in 1693 where a local teen named Thackery Binx attempts to save his younger sister from the evil witches.

His efforts are not successful and the Sanderson sisters transform him into a black cat, cursed to live forever with his guilt for not saving little Emily.

Fast forward to 1993, and teenager Max Dennison accidentally awakens the witches once again. Along with his younger sister Dani and friend Allison, they try to capture the witches before they drain the youth from all of the town's children.

We can't wait to see what's in store for the reboot! It's expected to drop in autumn next year.
