It seems we just can’t get enough of Diana, with Netflix releasing the first trailer of their upcoming musical eponymously titled Diana.
Watch the trailer here.
A live-recording of the hotly-anticipated stage musical, which lands on Broadway later this year, the show sees Jeanna de Waal play the Princess of Wales in a musical take on her tragic life.
The story of the ‘People’s Princess’ will show how Diana was thrust into the limelight when she was dating Prince Charles.
It will also depict Diana’s marriage to the heir to the throne, the birth of her sons and Charles’s rendezvous with Camilla Parker Bowles, which caused much scandal amongst the royal family.
The show, which was recorded last year without a live audience, will be released before the play hits the Broadway stage in an attempt to drum up interest among fans before they see the show.
In a statement, producers said: "The chance to share our show, first with Netflix's global audience and then welcoming a live audience back on Broadway, is something we've all been dreaming about for more than a year.
“We could not be more thrilled to finally share both the film and the Broadway musical with the world."
Other actors taking part include Judy Kaye as Queen Elizabeth II, Roe Hartrampf as Prince Charles, and Erin Davie as Camilla Parker Bowles.
The musical is based on the book by Joe DiPietro and music and lyrics are by David Bryan.
The Diana musical is the latest in a number of productions linked to the late princess.
Emma Corrin received universal praise for her depiction of Princess Diana in Netflix’s biopic, The Crown.
Elsewhere, Kristen Stewart will play Diana in the film Spencer, which is due for release in November.
Diana: A True Musical Story is set for worldwide release on Netflix on October 1st.
