Mr Big Actor Chris Noth Weighs In On Sarah Jessica Parker And Kim Cattrall Feud

Mr Big Actor Chris Noth Weighs In On Sarah Jessica Parker And Kim Cattrall Feud

Chris Noth has opened up about where he stands in the Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall feud.

As we wait for the debut of And Just Like That this month, Sex and the City star Chris Noth - who is known for playing Mr Big - has revealed his thoughts about Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall’s feud.

Speaking with The Guardian about the new series, Chris shared positive memories with both of his co-stars but said of Kim: “I have absolutely no idea what her thinking is, or her emotions.”

He added: “I do know that I’m very close with SJ and [Kim’s] descriptions of her don’t even come close. I liked [Kim], I thought she was marvellous in the show and some people move on for their own reasons. I don’t know what hers were.

“I just wish that whole thing had never happened because it was sad and uncomfortable.”

Chris and Sarah have starred opposite each other in the original series and both films and judging by the trailer for And Just Like That, Mr Big and Carrie Bradshaw are still together.

Fans will recall Kim refused to return as Samantha Jones for the new series after her public feud with former co-star Sarah.

Back in 2017, Kim said she had waived goodbye to Samantha permanently and turned down a chance to star in a planned third Sex and The City film.

When Kim’s brother Christopher Cattral passed away the following year, Sarah shared her condolences on social media which appeared to anger the actress.

Sarah commented: “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother”.

Kim replied: “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time.”

And it seems art will imitate life (sort of) in And Just Like That after it was confirmed how Samantha's absence will be addressed on screen.

The show will document that Carrie and Samantha had a major bust-up after Carrie fires Samantha as her publicist – and now she’s set up a new life across the pond... in London, to be precise.

A source told the Mail Online: “We couldn’t have Samantha roaming around New York City and not have [Miranda and Charlotte] not interacting with her. It just wouldn’t have made sense.

“Sending her to Los Angeles wasn't an option as we'd done that in the first movie, so having her character based in London really was the perfect way to keep her alive and explain her absence.

“Viewers will learn that she is thriving in England even though she has fallen out with Carrie.”

We hope Samantha will return one day!

And Just Like That airs Thursday 9th December 2021 on Sky and Now.
