And Just Like That: SATC Fans Are Just Realising Where They Recognise Gloria From

And Just Like That: SATC Fans Are Just Realising Where They Recognise Gloria From

We knew we recognised Big's secretary from somewhere!

This article contains spoilers for And Just Like That...

We've been loving seeing all the old characters appear in Sex And The City's reboot, And Just Like That. First there was Bitsy von Muffling, and even Susan Sharon made an appearance.

But one person we spotted who we never expected to see, wasn't from SATC at all - but from US sitcom Friends.

Did you notice a Friends character in the reboot?!

Did you recognise Gloria? (

Well, ICYMI, Brenda Vaccaro - who played Joey's mum, Gloria Tribbiani in Friends - featured in And Just Like That as Mr Big's secretary, Gloria.

Gloria was at Big's funeral and was seen in floods of tears during the service. At the end of the funeral, Carrie could be seen saying goodbye to Gloria, explaining they'd catch up soon to sort through some paperwork.

Brenda, 82, appeared in Friends way back in 2001, in the episode 'The One With Rachel's Big Kiss'.

She also played Gloria Tribbiani in Friends (

And people are just starting to make the connection on social media, with one fan writing: "Gloria, Big's secretary is Joey Tribbiani's mother. Don't ask me how I know that. I just know."

While another added: "Big’s secretary being Gloria Tribbiani is so deeply satisfying to me."

And a third said: "Big's secretary is Gloria... Tribbiani? Huh?"

"So it’s canon that Big’s secretary is Gloria Tribbiani right?" Wrote a fourth.

And a fifth tweeted: "Hold on hold on hold on. Joey Tribbiani’s mother was Mr. Big’s secretary?!?!?!"

People are saying the same thing about Miranda (
HBO)

In other And Just Like That news, earlier this week we told you how everyone is saying the same thing about Miranda.

Throughout the first two episodes, viewers see Miranda guzzling back drinks; be it at 11am at Smith’s Bar, or glasses of Chablis at a child’s piano recital, or a strong whiskey at a funeral. It's left fans wondering whether the writers of the show are lining up an alcoholism storyline.

You can read more on that theory here.
