There's no hiding the fact 2020 has turned us all into a group of binge-drinkers (G&T at 11am, anyone?), but good news for those looking to do Dry January or who want to cut back on booze over Christmas - Gordon's has launched a new alcohol-free gin and they say it tastes just like the real thing.

Crafted from the same botanicals found in Gordon's London Dry Gin, according the brand owner Diageo, Gordon's 0.0% has a "bold, juniper-led character you expect from the brand."

The new gin is available in Tesco now priced at £14 a 70cl bottle, and will hit all other retailers on January 3rd, just in time to kick start those New Year's resolutions.

Charlotte Gibbon, GB Head of Marketing at Gordon's said: "At Gordon's we are committed to providing choice for different occasions and we don't think people should have to miss out on the flavour or experience when choosing an alcohol free drink.

"Gordon's 0.0% has been created to ensure that consumers still get to enjoy the delicious taste of Gordon's, even if they're opting not to drink alcohol. We'll raise a G&T to that!"

We'll raise a G&T to that, too!

Anita Robinson, Marketing Director Diageo GB added: "Our expert innovation team at Gordon's has combined years of expertise and historic Gin distilling knowledge. Gordon's 0.0% is created by distilling the same botanicals used in Gordon's London Dry Gin, capturing the essence of Gordon's in a delicious alcohol-free alternative.

"We are incredibly proud to be bringing gin drinkers that juniper led taste they're expecting from Gordon's when they choose not to drink alcohol."

With the UK in a semi-permanent state of lockdown, we're not sure we're quite ready to go alcohol-free just yet, but roll on January 2021 - our livers could do with the break.
