There's still more than three months to go until Christmas, but we're not going to lie - this glittery cranberry sauce has got us pretty damn excited for the big day.

The shimmery sauce, from Firebox, is infused with a twist of orange and a splash of vodka, and landed online this week.

Costing £9.99 for a 210g jar, it's the perfect stocking filler that's every bit as pretty as it is flavoursome. Extra, us?

With the vodka, orange and cranberry proving a winning combination, the flavours are guaranteed to add a punch to any piece of meat (yep, even your Great Aunt's leathery, overcooked turkey).

The alcohol evaporates when cooked, leaving a nice citrus tang to your Christmas meal. And of course, the best part is that it is loaded with edible glitter, because why limit Crimbo sparkle to a tree?

Bringing real flamboyance to your Christmas meal, this shimmery and tasty sauce is the more delicious alternative to dressing up your turkey in tinsel.

If you really want to spice things up (or should I say, shimmer things up), then go for the full monty and smother your roast in glitter gravy too.

After its success last year, there's really no reason why you wouldn't opt for it this Christmas.

Ashish Patel - general manager of the glitter gravy pub, the Fox Under the Hill - said: "It's the perfect way spread festive cheer in December."

Now picture glitter gravy and glitter cranberry sauce on your plate. Can you imagine the festive cheer it will bring?

Festive colours and speckles of bright light; a Christmas disco served up on a plate if you will,(twice as tasty mind you and much less stressful).
