If you're looking for a more unusual Valentine's present this year you could always get your head turned into a chocolate lollipop, because why not?

You're pretty much enough of a gift anyway so there's no need to buy expensive presents at Valentine's and these lollipops can remind your partner of that.

Confectionery specialists Candy Mechanics created the quirky product so you can give the gift of you on the national day of love.

The product is known as a 'lolpop' which is pretty fitting as it will probably receive a few laughs from your partner when it's time to eat it.

To get your hands on a chocolate version of your face you can visit the Smartech pop-up store in Selfridges on Oxford Street in London.

It isn't as simple as having your picture took though as you have to have your head scanned by a 3D scanner and then carved into a mini lollipop.

The whole process takes five minutes and you can choose from white, milk, or dark chocolate so that your face is even more to the taste of the recipient.

Even if your partner is vegan there is an option for them as the dark chocolate is vegan friendly.

Each 'lolpop' costs £10 but if you make a purchase in the pop-up store you will receive one for free and the flagship store is open from the 9th-14th February.

Natalie Bernce from Smartech told Metro: "We're delighted to be bringing such a playful experience into Selfridges.

"We wanted to offer something different this Valentine's and Candy Mechanics were the perfect partner with their cutting-edge personalisation technology.

If you can't make it to the London store you can also order a 'lolpop' online you just need to get someone to take a video of your head.

Once you have captured the video you can simply upload it to their site using your phone.

Soon enough a chocolate version of your head will drop on your letterbox- just what your partner has always wanted!
