Making all our nostalgic dreams come true!

It's been over a decade since Woolworths stores closed in the UK (yeah, we can't believe it either), but now, just in time for Christmas, the high street brand's iconic pic n mix is coming back and we honestly can't wait!

Whether we were venturing into stores with friends to spend all our pocket money on the sugary treats or spending the day with our grandparents (who would obviously treat us to a bag of pic n mix before sending us back to our parents hyped up on sugar), the impressive line up of Fruit Salads, Cola Bottles, Dolly Mixtures, Jelly Snakes and more were staples of our childhoods.

And now we can relive all our nostalgic memories with a jar full of our favourite sweets from Very.

The impressive pic n mix jar, full of traditional sweetshop treats, retails at £15.99 from Very, with 100% of the profits going to charity partner Coram Beanstalk, who recruit, train and support volunteers to provide reading support to thousands of children in the UK.

There are 10 kinds of retro sweets in each jar, including Black Jacks, Fruit Salads, Anglo Bubbly, Cola Bottles and Dolly Mixture. Also in the mix are Twin Cherries, Pear Drops, Jelly Snakes, Kola Cubes and Liquorice Allsorts.

Jeremy Stevens, Very's category director, said of the launch of the retro sweet jar: "So many of us have fond childhood memories of Woolworths' amazing selection of sweets.

"The launch of this much-loved product is a fun and nostalgic way to support our charity partner, Coram Beanstalk, to help them raise much-needed funds for the great work they do."

Ginny Lunn, MD of Coram Beanstalk, added: "Coram Beanstalk is as happy as a child in a sweet shop to be receiving 100% of the profits from Very's launch of Woolworths Pic n Mix.

"The money raised will go towards helping those children who need extra support to catch up after this year of disrupted schooling."

The sweet jars are available to buy now from the Very website.
