One of the many reasons people love TikTok is because it gives us an endless supply of nifty food hacks and must-try trends.

It was only last week we saw one TikToker breaking the internet with her handy bread cutting hack.

But users have since been left shook all over again after realising they've been cutting pitta bread wrong all this time, too.

TikToker and foodie Sevda aka @sevda.ela, posts videos of her homemade meals regularly, but it was one clip of culinary skills - posted in May - which particularly caught people's eye.

Sevda fIlmed herself cutting pita bread as she makes falafel with homemade hummus, lettuce, onion and lemon for dinner.

But people were less interested in the food she knocked up and more in her method for cutting pitta bread.

In the clip, she carefully cuts around one side of the inner section of the bread and then splits it open to scoop the filling inside.

TikTok user Troy who posts with the username @boitoynamedtroyy filmed a video reaction in response to the way she cuts the pitta bread. He says: "Sorry but have I been cutting pita bread the wrong way this whole time?"

People took to the comments section to share their own ways for cutting pitta bread and compared it to Sevda's.

"I cut it in half like short ways so it makes two separate pockets.... I thought that's how everyone did it," on user said.

"OMG I've been cutting it wrong all my life hahahaha," joked another TikTok user.

Troy responded to a question in the comments asking how he cuts his own pita bread. "I cut it like you world a bagel? I thought everyone did it," he explained.

"I use scissors," shared a fourth person.

While someone else said: "I just cut it like you would a cardboard box." Yep, we're confused by that one too.

As it turns out some people don't even cut their pitta bread. "I just rip it what-" another commenter confessed.

Similarly, one person wrote: "Ngl I just break it with my hands."
