It may only be August, but Tesco has already unveiled its Christmas menu and our tastebuds are in a frenzy with their new deep-fried brussels sprouts bites. Yes, you read that correctly.

While we understand not everyone is a fan of the humble festive sprout, you surely couldn't deny them while covered in a light, crispy fried batter.

The new Christmas addition, which are vegetarian-friendly, cost a mere £3 for 240g worth of brussels-goodness and are even more delicious when accompanied with a fruity cranberry dip.

The brussels sprouts bites, which are set to drop in stores and online from Monday, 9th December, also feature alongside their mozzarella and pesto arancini balls, £3.

New for the 2019 festive season, the tasty Italian-style risotto balls are made from mozzarella and pesto coated in crunchy parsley breadcrumbs - sounding all sorts of delicious.

And as Christmas is a great excuse for a celebration, festive hosts can stock up on a wide variety of innovative bitesized appetisers at the supermarket, such as crunchy barbacoa beef tacos or prawn roses, which launch online and in-store from October.

They also have three different types of pigs in blankets; chicks in blankets, made with British chicken sausages, chorizo style pig in blankets as well as a stuffing wreath with pigs in blankets and cranberry compote. Yum.

Tesco's new festive antipasti and cheese includes Italian prosciutto infused with black truffle and a 'Create Your Own Drunken Cheese' - a White Stilton designed to be steeped in alcohol before serving.

Those looking for something sweet can go traditional with indulgent, brandy-infused mince pies, tropical, with passionfruit cheesecake squares or fun Christmas tree chocolate pots.
