This year, Veganuary has really begun with a bang, with incredible new plant-based offerings from the likes of Greggs, KFC and Pizza Hut having already been announced.

And while all the new vegan dishes have gone down a storm, there seems to be a particular buzz around Subway's latest offering - the Meatless Marinara.

Modelled on the much loved classic, the Meatball Marinara, the new alternative is packed full of juicy soya meatballs, mouth-watering original Marinara sauce and melted, vegan cheese.

After much teasing, the tasty sub launched on 2nd January - and it is already getting a rave response online.

Taking to social media after their much awaited first bite, one vegan Subway visitor branded the new sandwich "perfection," while another gushed that it was "outstanding," and several more giving it glowing 10/10 reviews.

"Subway meatless marinara is GLORIOUS," one person wrote on Twitter after trying the new vegan delicacy.

While another added: "Very important announcement: the new vegan subway meatballs are Sexy."

A third chimed in: "Just tried the meatless meatball marinara from subway! Surprisingly good and pretty close to the real thing."

As a fourth agreed: "Can confirm the subway meatless meatball marinara is lit".

The Meatless Meatball Marinara isn't the only option for vegans at Subway, as it joins an already mouth-watering line up of meat-free options, including the Vegan Sub, Vegan Salad and the Hash Browns.

If you're veggie you can customise your sub and switch out the vegan cheese for regular.

Plus, there are also lots of sauces for plant-based visitors, including Garlic Aioli, Sriracha Hot Chilli or Sweet Onion, as well as any combination of the signature salads too.

If Subway isn't your thing, then don't worry. There are copious vegan options lining the high street at the moment for you to enjoy instead.

Greggs Vegan Steak Bake is another product literally flying off the shelves since its launch, with the bakery giving in to demand and offering a veggie friendly alternative to their classic meaty favourite.

Plus, Costa is even selling a Vegan CheeZe and Ham Toastie in stores now, which joins the menu as part of the 25 new vegan products launching this month.

It really is a great time to be vegan.
