You Can Now Buy A Solid Cheese Egg From Butlers To Celebrate Easter
Yes, cheese fanatics, listen up - as one company are now selling solid cheese Easter eggs just in time for the big day.
Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, based in Birmingham, are selling their Cheester Egg Double Yolker, which contains not one but TWO different flavoured cheese eggs.
For just £8 you'll get a double whammy of cheeses (120g each) both in perfect egg form.
First up there's Blacksticks Blue Cheester Egg. Butlers suggest spreading this blue cheese delight on a hot cross bun and honestly, it's a flavour combo we'd never considered but we are IN.
Alongside that comes the Cheesealicious Cheddar Cheester Egg, made of solid cheddar deliciousness.
You could use the cheese eggs as centrepieces for your Easter Sunday cheese board, or even include them in your childrens' Easter Egg hunt for a fun twist. Kids love cheese, right?
You also buy both cheese eggs individually for £4.50 if you wish.

Butler's delivery costs £6.99, which is a little pricey, we'll admit, but you can rest assured you'll get your cheese eggs in time for Easter Sunday (12th April).
Delivery takes two days and Butlers can send cheese to arrive from Tuesday to Friday only, so bare that in mind when you're placing your order.
Aside from that, the family-owned business sell a ton of delicious cheeses from Beacon Blue to Trotters Hill and Rothbury Red, so you may as well expand your cheese board and maximise on that delivery charge while you're at it.
To be honest, a cheese egg might be your best bet right now as some local convenience stores have been told not to sell Easter eggs.
According to reports, shops have been warned off selling the chocolate during the coronavirus crisis as they are not 'essential items'.
Some shopkeepers in Surrey and Buckinghamshire have reported that local authorities have been telling them they cannot sell the seasonal chocolate eggs, as they're not deemed to be essential products (debatable...)
Cheese it is, then.
