Nestlé Is Launching White Chocolate Munchies But You’ll Need To Be Quick

They'll be available exclusively in Asda from 13th August.

Chocolate lovers, listen up. Nestlé is launching white chocolate Munchies and we reckon this could be the best news to come out of 2020 so far.

A firm favourite on the chocolate scene since 1957, you'll all know Munchies as those delicious milk chocolate coated squares with a gooey caramel and biscuit centre. But from 13th August, you'll be able to get 94g sharing bags from Asda, which are joining the existing range comprising original Munchies, Munchies Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Munchies Cookie Dough.

OMG.


Fun fact: Nestlé is believed to have invented the first white chocolate when, in 1936, while working on a vitamin-enriched condensed milk, workers added cocoa butter to make a solid tablet form of the milk, creating white chocolate in the process.

For that, we're forever grateful.

The chocolatiers announced the news on Instagram, saying: "You are welcome people! WHITE CHOCOLATE MUNCHIES ARE HERE! YES TO WHITE CHOCOLATE MUNCHIES! Available in @asda next week!". And judging by the comments, it seems you lot are just as excited as us.

"Yasssss cannot wait" said one happy follower, with another adding: "Get in our bellies!" alongside a heart-eyed emoji.

"Omg they sound incredible. Can't wait to try them" said a third.

Nestlé even confirmed that the choccies will be nut free, so those with allergies don't have to worry about missing out.

Munchies Brand Manager Cat Mews said: "Munchies has been a popular brand for over 60 years, but we know that consumers love an on-trend twist to a classic too.

"Fans couldn't wait to try Munchies Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Munchies Cookie Dough when they launched last year, and we are sure that white chocolate Munchies will prove just as popular an addition to the range."

Munchies are made at Nestlé's Fawdon factory, near Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, which also makes many well-loved brands including Fruit Gums, Fruit Pastilles, Breakaway, Caramac, Matchmakers, Rolo, Toffee Crisp and Smarties Buttons.

No word on the price yet, but white chocolate Munchies will be available exclusively in Asda from 13th August. Oh, and they're limited edition, so you better be quick!
