While the nation still awaits the full reopening of Nando's restaurants across the country, the much-loved chicken chain is offering an alternate way for customers to chow down on that PERi-PERi goodness.
In the spirit of lockdown, the popular South African eatery are launching cook-it-yourself recipe boxes for cheeky Nandos fans to recreate their favourite (and much missed) meals at home.
The restaurant has partnered with recipe box brand Mindful Chef on the launch of its limited edition recipe boxes - which feature two of Nando's most popular dishes.
First, there's the restaurant's iconic PERi-PERi butterfly chicken: succulent butterflied chicken breast marinated in Nando's medium PERi-PERi sauce and then pan-fried until golden. Its served with spiced chips, zesty red cabbage and carrot and radish fino slaw.

The other option is ¼ chicken legs: juicy chicken legs marinated in Nando's medium sauce, and complete with all the sides, from packed herby Macho Peas, to creamy sweet potato mash and corn on the cob.

Delivered straight to your door, each box contains pre-portioned ingredients, a step-by-step recipe guide and a bottle of Nando's Medium PERi-PERi sauce.

The recipe box service is running for a limited time only from Sunday 14th to Saturday 27th June, starting at £6 per person. Also, anyone new to Mindful Chef who orders online at mindfulchef.com/nandos will receive £20 off their first two boxes.
Giles Humphries, co-founder of Mindful Chef, comments: "We have seen a massive 400% increase in demand for our recipe box service in the last two months. Experimenting with new ingredients and recipes has been a big trend during lockdown. So it seemed like the perfect time to work with one of the UK's most loved restaurants and give the UK a chance to cook up some of Nando's famous PERi-PERi dishes at home."

Last month, the popular eatery announced it was reopening 94 of its restaurants in cities across the UK for delivery and click and collect only, operating a reduced menu.
