Nando's is offering a quarter of chicken for just £1.85 from next week.

As part of the government's Covid-19 Eat Out To Help Out scheme, the chicken chain will be slashing the price of its delicious PERi-PERi food choices by 50 per cent or more (max £10 off per person) to encourage more people to support the hospitality sector.

The discount only applies to those eating in, and will run every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in August.

As well as grabbing a quarter chicken for less than two quid, you'll be able to get a Quarter PERi-PERi chicken and two sides for £3.39, a Half PERi-PERi chicken for £3.39 and a Half PERi-PERi chicken and two sides for £4.90.

A Ten-piece PERi-PERi chicken wing roulette will set you back £4.80 now, while the Halloumi sticks and dip starter will now only cost £1.74. Result!

Other discounts include a Chicken pitta for £2.95 and a Beanie burger £2.95, among much more.

The high street chicken joint was initially operating for delivery only amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but begun re-opening for dine-in across many branches from 8th July.

In order to ensure the experience is safe and Covid friendly, Nando's has put a new system in place so that customers won't have to queue up outside the restaurant.

Instead, you'll need scan a QR code that you'll see when you arrive, and they'll text you when your table is ready.

The chain will also be operating so it is fully cashless, to limit transmission of the virus via money. But, don't worry, you can still collect Chilli Points using your Nando's Card.

As for social distancing? That's also going to be strictly implemented across the branch, both in kitchens and across all the tables.

The chain is also still operating with its limited menu to ensure the kitchen staff can function with reduced teams, to stay safe.

Plus, there will be sanitiser stations across the branches, and staff will come to your table - replacing their standard order at the counter format.

The news comes as Nando's has just introduced a new flavour - Coconut and Lemon.

The new spice promises to add a seasonal PERi-PERi kick to your meal, offering a hit of creamy tropical coconut and a zesty citrus kick.

Sitting alongside Medium on the PERi-ometer, the spice isn't for the faint hearted, but it's also manageable on the spice scale, for those who prefer to steer clear of a super fiery order.

If you want to try it, there's no time to waste, as the new spice is only limited edition, replacing the Passion Fruit & Mango combo in all UK restaurants for eat-in, delivery and click & collect.

Now, who's off for a PERi-PERi fix?!
