PSA: Nando's fans, you are one step closer to that PERi-PERi goodness.
The popular South African eatery has announced it's reopening 54 of its restaurants for delivery and click and collect today, with another 40 to follow in the coming days.
Available to order online from today, cities such as London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and Belfast will soon be able to chow down on their go-to cheeky Nando's faves.
The chain was be running a reduced menu to help the team maintain social distancing in the kitchens, but don't worry, fan faves such as PERi-PERi chicken wings, butterfly chicken, halloumi sticks and PERi chips are all still available to order.
The chain notes all food will be prepared and delivered under strict government guidelines. This includes staff wearing PPE, designated waiting areas for delivery drives and collect customers, and monitored queues.
In addition, the restaurant teams will be ensuring deliveries are safe, with drivers maintaining social distancing while waiting to pick up orders, restaurant staff handing over food while maintaining social distance and contactless delivery available to customers upon request.
Fans are encouraged not to travel to the restaurant unnecessarily unless they are picking up a collect order at their allotted time to avoid queues.
The chain is also implementing a chilli reward system, so loyal fans can earn points and PERi-PERi-based rewards with every order. Ideal!
The decision comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced all non essential shops will re-open from June 15th in a move to boost the economy.
Nando's announcement follows a "successful" phased reopening of six of its restaurants for delivery over the past few weeks.
