It's cold out there right now - we've whacked the heating up and we've burritoed ourselves in a number of blankets.
So the timing is only right for Nando's to also be bringing the heat to the UK this winter, as the legendary chicken chain is now introducing an Extra, Extra Hot new spice.
Already having been launched as a bottle sauce, Vusa will be launched in restaurants as a brand new heat level, which will heat thrill-seekers rejoicing and Lemon & Herb devotees quaking in their boots, when it takes the top spot on Nando's Scoville scale equivalent, the PERi-ometer.
For those willing to turn up the heat, the spice be added - as with all other heat levels - to an extensive list of menu items, from Nando's famous PERi-PERi chicken to The Great Imitator, the brand's first ever plant-based alternative.
Vusa (which is Zulu for 'excitement and fire') features a combination of the warming African Bird's Eye Chilli, as well as garlic and lemon mixed together in an age-old recipe which is as hot as it is tasty.
Fans will be able to set their tastebuds on fire with this hot new flavour from Tuesday 26th January. As restaurants are still closed due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, you can only get the Extra, Extra Hot sauce as part of a delivery and click and collect on a variety of different meals.
We'd rather you than us!
