One mum couldn't understand why everyone was laughing at the Hercules themed cake she had baked for her son's birthday until her husband spotted a rude looking detail.

When you're making a cake for your children's birthday, you want to make sure it is everything they've ever wanted whilst also showing off a little.

So, when other parents start to laugh at your attempt it can be a bit disheartening even if you have included one extra detail that definitely isn't Disney appropriate.

In a post shared on Awkward Family Photos' Instagram one husband submitted a picture of his wife's Hercules themed cake which makes Pegasus looking pretty well endowed.

If you look closely at the white silhouette of baby Pegasus, the gap between the neck and wings created a 'not safe for your child's birthday' outline.

Writing on Instagram the husband said: "The cake my wife made was supposed to portray Pegasus and Baby Pegasus.

"She doesn't understand why everyone kept laughing."

If you can't tell the cake is meant to portray Pegasus and baby Pegasus in silhouette form which is a great idea but unfortunately this mums version wasn't kid friendly.

Some Instagram users were pretty confused with what they were looking for. One user wrote: "I don't get it? It looks exactly like big and little Pegasus."

Another added: "All I saw was what his wife intended, knowing the Disney Hercules movie characters. I had to read through the comments before my brain would register the naughty image."

However some users knew exactly what they were looking at. One comment read: "Lol what is the black thing supposed to be? How did she not see that?"

A second added: "Aah he's hung like a horse."

Even though it might look a little bit rude we bet it still tasted amazing and her son loved it.
