M&S Has Just Launched A Pink Percy Pig Dessert Sauce

M&S Has Just Launched A Pink Percy Pig Dessert Sauce

We're pouring this over everything.

We've had Percy Pigs, Percy Pig and Pals, Veggie Percy, and even dinky little Percy Piglets.

Yep, ever since Marks & Spencer launched its now-famous cartoonish piggy sweets way back in 1992 (how has it been that long?!) we've been hooked.

But now everyone's favourite squishy pink sweet is going in a new direction and being turned into a dessert sauce.

That's right, Percy is getting saucy, and you can drizzle a little Percy Pig sweetness over your favourite dessert.

...There goes our plan of a virtuously healthy start to the New Year, then.

Available in a cute bottle, the bright pink squirty sauce is described as "dessert curd sauce with apple juice" and costs a wallet-friendly £2.

The good news is, the taste is spot-on - the folks at M&S have genuinely captured the signature sweet-sharp tang of their oink-tastic sweets in sauce form.

We suggest drizzling the sweet fruity sauce (trust us, a little goes a long way) over filled pancakes. We'll be stocking a bottle in the cupboard ahead of Shrove Tuesday.

The sweet Percy sauce is also great with ice cream, cookie dough or warm chocolate cake.

One Instagram reviewer wrote: "I don't know how they managed it but it really does taste of Percy Pig! It's a very sweet, almost tangy sauce with the unmistakable Percy Pig flavour. A bit sickly if you have too much maybe but it's certainly a fun topping for ice cream and desserts!"

Made with apple juice, the sauce is suitable for vegetarians and costs £2 (

The product is suitable for veggies too - no piggies were harmed in the making of this sauce.

Given Percy's shape-shifting potential, the dessert sauce comes as no surprise. So loved are the sweets that pink Percy muffins landed in M&S' bakery section last November, filled with raspberry jam and buttercream, and topped with a single snouty sweet.

Where will Percy go next?
