M&S Has Launched Aperol Spritz In A Can

Ever since Marks & Spencer launched its cocktails in a can range many moons ago, we've been patiently waiting for the addition of an Aperol Spritz one.

You can see where we're going with this, right? Yes, the day is finally here!

Adding to the 19-strong best-selling collection of canned booze, the brand new 'Aperitivo Spritz' is the retailer's take on the popular Italian cocktail, typically made of Aperol, prosecco and soda water.

"Decidedly delicious; slightly bitter with a sweet hint of orange and a light herbal flavour; this flavourful new cocktail is made using a crisp sparkling wine and fragrant orange bitters," says M&S. "Open the can, close your eyes, take a sip and you are in Italy."

The 8 per cent ABV drink costs just £2 for a 250ml can or, excitingly, you can also buy a larger 750ml bottle for £5 - perfect for summer picnics or BBQs.

The retailer continues: "Our Aperitivo Spritz is crafted to outstanding quality boasting completely natural colours and flavourings whilst packing a punch with an impressive 8% abv - we use only the finest quality crisp sparkling wine and bitter orange extract to give it that true Aperitivo taste."

M&S also suggests adding the drink to ice lolly moulds for a boozy summer day treat. OMGGG.

Marks is responding to a surge in popularity for the Italian cocktail, which The Spirits Business report saw over 33,000 searches on Google in just a month.

Aperol Spritz has even been named the favourite cocktail in 14 UK cities from Glasgow to Leeds and York - so no wonder M&S is jumping on this one.
