Don't fancy cooking right now? We don't blame you.

With the UK being in its third lockdown, finding recipes and making food from scratch is proving both exhausting and costly for some.

However, Morrisons is looking to take the hassle out of planning your weekly food shop and prep as the supermarket has now launched its brand new 5 Meals for 4 Box.

Delivered straight to your door, the box is packed with all the ingredients and recipes you need to cook up five delicious dishes for a family of four, with all you need to whip up classics such as Spaghetti & Meatballs, Chilli Con Carne and Veggie Curry.

Cheesy Leek and Mushroom Pie and Sausage & Butterbean Bake are an additional tasty two recipes included which will keep you warm in the colder months and allow you to try something different over lockdown.

The box is £30 for a one-off purchase, with ingredients of the same value included inside - or can be purchased more cheaply for £28.50 if you choose to subscribe.

You can find the full list of ingredients here.

The catering firm responsible, Chartwells, has since apologised following widespread backlash.

A row broke out on social media when one mother, who didn't want to be named, posted her food package, which is meant to last 10 days and cost £30.

The package contained a loaf of bread, one bag of pasta, a can of baked beans, two malt loaf snacks and three snack size tubes of fromage frais, as well as some cheese, three apples, two carrots, one tomato, two baked potatoes and two bananas.

Chartwells, which is owned by Compass group, has pledged to refund costs where food parcels have not met its standards, and to contact schools to understand where shortages have occurred, while also apologising to anyone affected.

Morrisons is also offering a range of other boxes to order to your door, including a Sports Nutrition Box for £21, a Cupboard Essentials Box at £20 and a Veganuary Box for £25.
