McDonald’s Spicy Chicken McNuggets Are In Store Today And Halleluiah

Hundreds of lucky northerners were given the chance to try the new nuggets on Sunday (4^th August) when they were handed out for free at a Greater Manchester branch, with hungry fast food fans given a two-hour window to invade the McDonald's on Cross Lane, Salford to try them.

The news was shared by YouTubers Tobjizzle and MiniMinter of gaming collective The SideMen, who wasted no time making us jealous with snaps of them devouring our favourite chicken treat.

It was no easy feat, though - so many people made the mad dash that customers were left queuing for hours as only 600 nuggets were available. Such is the appeal of free nugs, hey?

Priced at just £3.19 for six, £3.49 for nine, £4.99 for twenty nuggets (the same price as Maccy's regular nuggets) and served with a Tabasco-based dip, the specially developed recipe is based on previous versions that have gone one sale in Asia and the US and are permanently on the menu in Australia. The sad news is that this new menu addition will only be around for six weeks in the UK so we suggest stocking up as we predict a major spicy nugget shortage on the horizon.

In the run up the launch, fans have been going mental over on Twitter, with many barely able to conceal their excitement ahead of the big day.

"So so excited for the @McDonalds spicy chicken nuggets to be released this week," said one user, while another posted a hilarious meme with the caption: "Me patiently waiting for McDonalds to add spicy Chicken McNuggets to their menu."

A third posted: "Can McDonalds hurry tf up and release their spicy nuggets please as I'm hungry for nuggets and spice," and we felt that.

Well luckily the wait for nuggets and spice is finally over and we have a glorious seven weeks ahead of us.
