At last, the day is here.
It's been more than seven gruelling weeks since we last were able to pick up a Big Mac and fries from McDonald's, but today the fast food chain is finally reopening some of its locations for delivery. Hallelujah!
At the start of the month, McDonald's - which closed all of its 1,249 restaurants on March 23rd in line with lockdown measures - announced it would be pulling up the shutters on 15 locations across the UK.
From 11am today (13th May), lucky Maccies lovers across the nation will be able to order their favourites on JustEat and UberEats.

In more good news, McDonald's has also announced it will be opening a number of restaurants for drive-thru as of next week.
"Next week we will begin the next phase of reopening a further 30 pilot restaurants in the UK and Ireland, offering service through the Drive-Thru lane from Wednesday 20 May," the chain said in a statement.
"We plan to reopen all our Drive-Thrus by early June."
It's not yet been revealed which branches will be opening for drive-thru, but McDonald's has said it will be introducing a £25 cap on orders as not to overwhelm staff and keep queues down.

In it's delivery and drive-thru operations, the fast food chain is introducing a series of social distancing measures to keep customers and employees safe, including perspex screens and floor markings, and PPE (which will include non medical grade face masks).
In addition, all employees must confirm they are fit and able to work.
Employees will also have their temperature taken on arrival at work each day, where a contactless thermometer will be used. Social distancing measures will also be introduced for delivery and service partners.

On Friday 1st May, McDonald's chief executive, Paul Pomroy announced the news some branches would be opening for delivery with a statement.
"When we return it will be different as we all adjust to this new normal," he said. "I want to apologise in advance if our first wave of reopened restaurants does not serve your area.
"Rest assured, we are working hard to reopen more restaurants, but I am adamant this must be at the right pace with the wellbeing of our employees, suppliers and customers front of mind.
"Slowly, but safely, we will return to towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, and thank you for your continued support as we work through this crisis."
We reckon it's going to be McDonald's for dinner for many tonight!
