McDonald's is making like the Spice Girls and planning to spice up our lives with a brand new burger, which is set to make this summer the hottest one yet.

The fast-food chain has announced the arrival of the McSpicy, its hottest burger ever. A thick, succulent chicken fillet with a spicy coating, on a bed of crunchy, cool lettuce and mayo, between toasted sesame seed buns - the McSpicy definitely has a certain zing to it!

Those of us who like it hot and sweaty better mark July 14th in their calendars, as that's when the McSpicy is available in stores for the sunny season - but those who want to taste the flames better act fast.

The £5.49 burger is only in stores for a limited time, so don't be a melt and be sure to get one before its too late.

To celebrate the launch of its hot new burger, McDonald's polled the nation to see who can really take the heat, asking the questions on its social platforms: "How McSpicy Is It For You?"

The nation which claims to have the highest heat tolerance, as well as the one the most scared of spice have been lit up red and green in honour of their preferences.

Its survey found that Wolverhampton is certified spice central - their average score on the scale was 6.63.

Whereas it's a no for Norwich, the city has the lowest spice tolerance who just can't hack the heat it seems, with an average score of 5.47.

And for those of you who can't tolerate the heat, don't worry - McDonald's has catered for you too. McDonald's is giving away free Happy Meal Milk with all McSpicy purchases via the My McDonald's App.

We're ready to feel the heat this summer...
