McDonald's Is Bringing Back The Smarties McFlurry

McDonald's has confirmed that one of its tastiest and most popular McFlurries is making a comeback to the menu this September after it was removed in 2015.

The fast food chain is bringing back the Smarties McFlurry later this month, and you will be able to choose from regular sized or the new mini version.

Crushed pieces of colourful, crispy Smarties and a rich chocolate sauce are combined with the smooth, vanilla ice cream, although the delicious combination sadly won't be around permanently.

The limited edition treat will be available in McDonald's restaurants from 26th September but will only be around until 17th November so make a date in your diary to ensure you don't miss out.

These won't break the bank either, as full-sized McFlurries will set you back a measly £1.29, and the mini frozen treat is a tiny 89p.

The Smarties McFlurries aren't the only yummy addition to McDonald's fast food menu, as they have been launched alongside this year's Great Tastes of the World promotion, which sees lots of other options added.

Week one and two will see the French Stack be released, which features 'two 100 per cent British and Irish beef patties, bacon, cheese, slivered onions, lettuce and garlic mayo in a toasted garlic bun'.

The Swiss Stack will arrive in weeks three and four, which is 'two 100 per cent British and Irish beef patties, bacon, cheese, crispy onions, lettuce and an emmental cheese sauce in a toasted lattice topped bun'.

There's also the Brazilian Stack which you'll be able to enjoy in weeks five and six, and weeks seven and eight will bring the Big Tasty and Big Tasty Bacon.

The Jamaican Stack will be around the entire eight weeks, as well as Nacho Cheese Wedges.

The current McFlurry menu includes Galaxy, Galaxy Caramel, Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk, and Crunchie options.

McDonald's goers were gutted when Smarties McFlurries were removed from the menu a few years back, even prompting some to write letters to the fast food chain, begging it to bring the treat back once again.

It's fair to say that these will be very popular.
