For meat-eaters, no one can deny the magic of fried chicken.

It's hard not to love the deliciously flavourful bites - but KFC are looking to separate the wheat from the chaff and are now on the hunt for the biggest fried chicken lover of them all.

The celebrate National Fried Chicken Day (6th July), the chicken aficionados are launching a hunt for their biggest superfan.

According to KFC, they're looking for "the biggest chicken eatin', wing slingin', gravy dippin' fan - a true chicken champion worthy."

Whoever wins the accolade will be the first person to be inaugurated into the newly-launched KFC Superfan Hall of Fame which is set to honour "those who have gone above and beyond to profess their devotion to fried chicken."

Explaining the kind of applicants they're after, KFC write: "Have you ever penned a letter of love to the red, white and gold(en drumsticks)?

"Did your heart break when KFC closed its doors during lockdown...only to drown your sorrows in some (questionable) homemade fried chicken?

"Or maybe you've even collected every KFC artefact since the first UK restaurant opened its doors in 1965? If this is you, we want to know."

Now for the important stuff, the lucky winner will not only win the prestigious title, but they'll be awarded with a year's supply of fried chicken for them to indulge whenever and wherever they like.

What's more, the'll get a coveted personalised bucket with their face on it, to really take their chicken-eating to new realms of professionalism.

To apply, you need to head over to KFC UK's Facebook and publicly express your love. KFC are asking for fans to get as creative as possible, whether that's sharing a story, a poem, a short-video or a selfie.

"No entry is too big nor too small in the Colonel's eyes," they write.

Get creative, people - a whole year's worth of chicken is at stake.
