Husband Gives Wife Amazon Parcel Cake For Her Birthday

There's always one person per household - be it your partner, friend, sibling or you yourself - who orders so many parcels you feel as if you're running your own postal depot.

One woman guilty of this is Emily McGuire, whose addiction with Amazon deliveries gave her husband a hilarious idea for her birthday.

On her big day, her hubby presented her with one of her familiar brown parcels, but instead of ripping it open to see what was inside, she was presented with a knife.

Why? It was actually a cake.

Created by Sweet Dreams Bakery in Dunn, North Carolina, the cake was a dead-ringer for the real thing, coming complete with realistic Amazon tape and a postage label both made from sugar icing. Inside was a delicious chocolate sponge with cream icing.

The delivery address read: '1234 Birthday Lane, Happy Birthday, 2U'.

Emily, who says she receives two to three parcels per week, told CafeMom: "In that moment, I knew my husband 'gets me'."

Sharing the creation online, Emily wrote: "When you order a lot from Amazon... you get an Amazon box cake."

"That's pretty cool. I really thought it was a box!," wrote someone.

"Omg, I love this, I myself am addicted to Amazon, wow this is amazing," gushed another.

"That's awesome! Brilliant thought by the hubby!" said a third.

Amazon themselves responded to the genius cake idea, saying: "We always love hearing from customers, but this one takes the cake," before letting Emily know show tech goodies were on their way to her.

Ten points to Emily's hubby for this one.
